What Txtment is
Txtment stores letters you write and delivers them later — on a date you choose, or when our check-in system concludes you're gone (the Switch).
What Txtment is not
Txtment delivers messages only. It is not a will, has no legal effect, and transfers no assets or property. Do not rely on it for legal, medical, or financial arrangements. The Switch is a best-effort email mechanism, not a determination of death.
Your content
Your letters are yours. Sealed letters are encrypted at rest. If you opt in to publishing an anonymous copy on Unsealed, you grant us the right to display that copy publicly; you can request its removal at any time.
Acceptable use
No harassment, threats, illegal content, or letters intended to harm their recipient. Public letters are reviewed before publication and removed immediately on valid reports.
Notice and action
To report content (including notices under the DSA or similar laws), use the report button on any public letter or email legal@txtment.com. We act on valid notices promptly and tell you what we did.
Best effort, no guarantee
We work hard to deliver every letter (see our continuity plan), but we cannot guarantee delivery decades out and accept no liability for missed or delayed deliveries to the maximum extent the law allows.
Your account
You can export everything and delete your account — fully and immediately — from your vault, at any time.
